Slaughter cows 1.00-5.00 lower. Lean cows 10.00 higher. Slaughter bulls steady.
CME cattle futures started the week with strong upward momentum, but that
rally began to lose steam as the week progressed, with the board encountering
noticeable resistance near recent highs. Both live and feeder cattle contracts
pushed into elevated territory early this week, supported by tight supplies and
continued strong demand, but mid-week the market shifted into a more cautious
tone. Rain continues to be spotty but most of Oklahoma has seen some moisture
in the last 10 days.
