FEEDER CATTLE 6171 5711 6601
Compared to last week: Feeder steers 6.00-12.00 higher. Feeder heifers over
750lbs 5.00-8.00 higher, under 750lbs 11.00-15.00 higher. Quality was not a
determining factor in pricing 8 weight steers. Demand remained strong across
all classes of cattle. Steer calves 10.00-20.00 higher with spots up to 30.00
higher. Heifer calves 15.00-25.00 higher with spots up to 40.00 higher. Calf
quality average. CME cattle futures remained mostly steady today after their
rally last week. The weather is hot and dry for October but a cool-front passes
through this weekend.
