Compared to last week: Steer calves over 500lbs unevenly steady, under 500lbs
10.00-15.00 higher. Heifer calves over 500lbs 3.00-8.00 lower, under 500lbs
10.00-15.00 higher. Quality played little role in today's market, as buyers
were primarily focused on filling orders for specific weight classes. Demand
centered on cattle carrying thinner flesh, resulting in an uneven market as
discounts were applied to cattle carrying excess condition.
