FEEDER CATTLE 9389 9147 5033
Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers 5.00-15.00 higher, heifers up
to 20.00 higher. Demand extremely good following cash slaughter cattle trade
taking place at 255.00 and dressed trade hitting the 400.00 mark. Cattle
futures took a little breather today trading mixed to a little lower. Quality
average to attractive. Several heavy weight cattle included. Feeders in medium
to fleshy conditions with average to full weigh-ups. Steer and heifer calves
mostly steady. Market appeared some higher, however quality improved from last
week. Demand good. Supply included several bulls, and un-weaned calves
continue to come to town. Temperatures dropped back into the 60's today after
the 90's yesterday.
