AMS_1082 MARS Cheese - Oceania Released on June 05, 2025 During the reporting period, cheddar cheese prices decreased significantly at the low end of the price range while exhibiting only a slight increase on the high end. The end of the Oceania production season signals reduced output in the near term, and inventories are tight as a result. Domestic demand is steady to lighter while export demand remains strong. At GDT event 381, the price of the July contract increased slightly while prices fell for all other contracts periods where product was traded. A 4.2 percent decline in the cheddar price index suggests greater sales of lower-priced cheese for delivery in the latter half of the year. Cheddar cheese sales volumes were substantially higher at GDT event 381 compared to event 380, but only slightly higher than the same time a year ago.
