Butter - East U.S.

Released on December 31, 2025

Plentiful cream volumes in the Northeast are contributing to busy production
schedules at many butter facilities. Churns are operating at or near capacity
seven days a week. With increased production, butter volumes are slightly
outpacing current demand. Producers are freezing the excess quantities of
butter to build inventory for future use. Cream multiples in the region are low
as many Class II and III facilities are not taking any cream until after the
new year. Export demand for butter is quiet this week. Butter inventories are
low but expected to increase as churns continue heavy production.
