Contacts indicate milk production is strong in the Northeast. The New England 
states have yet to reach peak spring flush volumes. Butter makers are using 
contracted loads of milk and cream to keep churns active. Manufacturing is 
occurring seven days a week, but contacts indicate churns are not as full as 
previous weeks. Class IV spot purchases of cream are light in the region. 
Retail demand is high enough to keep bulk production to a minimum. Inventories 
are growing in preparation for expected summer production drops.

Prices for: East, All First Sales, F.O.B., Grade AA, Edible Butter
