Butter churns are operating at or near max capacity in the East region. 
Manufacturers are taking advantage of ample cream supplies to produce as much 
butter as possible. Most manufacturers are taking in spot loads of cream to 
augment contract loads of cream and milk. Retail and food service butter sales 
are good. Contacts indicate 2026 sales are in line with sales from this time in 
previous years. Export demand for butter is steady. Manufacturers are building 
inventories to prepare for upcoming slower production periods.
