Compared to last week steers less than 700 lbs sold steady to 6.00 higher, over
700 lbs sold 8.00 to 10.00 higher. Heifers less than 700 lbs sold 8.00 to 10.00
higher, over 700 lbs sold 3.00 to 8.00 higher. Demand was mostly good
instances very good for replacement type heifers. Several lots of replacement
heifers were sold by the head so the buyers new exactly what the cost per
animal was. Feedlots held firm on asking prices and held out for a higher
market on Friday. Live sales sold 4.00 to 6.00 higher at mostly 240.00 and
dressed sales sold 5.00 to 8.00 higher from 375.00 to 378.00.
