Nonfat Dry Milk - East and Central U.S.

Released on October 02, 2025

Low/medium heat nonfat dry milk (NDM) prices are down in the Central and East
regions across the range and mostly price series. Contacts report low/medium
heat NDM prices are stabilizing in the mid-to-upper $1.10s, as current prices
are contributing to an uptick in demand from domestic purchasers. Export
interest remains light, though some stakeholders say they anticipate increased
demand from purchasers from Mexico in the coming weeks. Spot inventories of
low/medium heat NDM are available in the East region and in the Southwest, but
contacts say inventories remain snug in the Midwest. Increasing milk output is
enabling drying operations to increase low/medium heat NDM production. This is
also keeping high heat NDM production limited, as plant managers are focusing
on low/medium heat NDM to work through available supplies of milk. Demand for
high heat NDM is light, but inventories remain tight. Prices for high heat NDM
followed low/medium heat by decreasing this week.
