Nonfat Dry Milk - East and Central U.S.

Released on July 16, 2026

Prices for low/medium heat nonfat dry milk (NDM) declined across the range this
week. The bottom of the mostly price series held steady, while the top pushed
higher. Spot inventories remain snug, though some contacts say they are getting
additional offers from the Central and East regions this week. These offers are
priced at a premium compared to loads in the West where inventories are more
available. Demand is unchanged in domestic markets. Export interest remains
light, but some contacts say they are hearing more from buyers in Mexico
looking for spot loads this week. Some drying operations are obtaining
additional spot loads of condensed skim milk this week, due to downtime at some
regional processing plants. Despite this, declining milk output is causing some
plant managers to run lighter drying schedules. Drying operations continue to
focus production on low/medium heat NDM, keeping high heat production limited.
Prices for high heat NDM declined across the range. Contacts say prices are
trending downwards in line with low/medium heat, despite strong demand and
tight inventories.
