Nonfat Dry Milk - East and Central U.S.

Released on May 29, 2025

Low/medium heat nonfat dry milk (NDM) prices increased across the range and
mostly price series in the Central region. On the CME, daily spot trading
prices for NDM are up 6 cents to $1.2850, since last Wednesday. Demand for
low/medium heat NDM is strong. Contacts report a steady stream of low/medium
heat NDM is moving to the Southwest for export, to keep up with increasing
interest from purchasers in Mexico. Low/medium heat inventories range from
somewhat snug in most of the region to tight in the Southwest. Plant managers
say they are running steady production schedules as they work through available
supplies of condensed skim milk. Low/medium heat NDM production remains strong,
leaving less time for high heat NDM production. Contacts say high heat NDM
demand is steady, and inventories remain tight. Prices for high heat NDM
increased across the range this week.
