Dry whey prices are lower at the bottom of the range this week and holding 
steady at the top. Demand for dry whey is steady to lighter. Spot prices for 
dry whey peaked at $0.7850 last Wednesday but closed at $0.7325 this Wednesday. 
Some contacts suggest recent high prices are causing some purchasers to become 
more hesitant to secure loads, while others note lighter demand this week due 
to the holiday. Dry whey production remains light as manufacturers remain 
focused on higher whey protein concentrates. Spot purchasers say loads are 
difficult to obtain as several brands remain sold out in the near term.
