Dry Whey - East U.S.

Released on June 12, 2025

The dry whey market was very different this week compared to last. Last week
the market was active and contacts reported plenty of demand. This week, the
market was quiet with very few reported sales. The price range for whey did not
change this week. Sales are falling well within the published range for the
East region. The CME prices for dry whey have dropped some this week but are
holding steady compared to last week's average. International demand for whey
is holding steady. Southeast Asian countries are still interested in various
dairy powder products. Cheese production remains strong, keeping whey available
for drying. Inventory levels of dry whey are steady. Producers can keep up with
demand.
