There is a flurry of activity this week with dry whey. Last week, the CME price 
for dry whey rose three cents. This week, the CME prices are lowering but 
remain higher than previous weeks. Contacts indicate good sales activity, 
especially from international buyers. The price range for dry whey increased 
slightly as a result. Whey production is up from previous weeks. Cheese 
production continues to grow in the Northeast providing more whey for drying. 
There is no indication that whey inventories are dwindling.
