FEEDER CATTLE 13861 14416 7843
Compared to last week: Steer calves 10.00 to 30.00 lower, heifer calves 10.00
to 20.00 lower. Moderate to good demand for both steer and heifer calves. The
wild moves in the cattle futures complex is making it very difficult for cattle
producers to make any marketing decisions. Cattle feeders faced much lower
packer bids this week, sales reported down to the 210.00 level, which is
causing them the rethink their approach to entering the feeder cattle market.
The optimism that was rampant throughout the entire industry has now been
replaced by fear as there is so much uncertainty in the market.
