USDA National Casein Review 09/10 13:35

Casein - U.S.

Released on September 10, 2026

Acid casein prices are holding steady this week. Contacts in Oceania say demand
is strengthening in the region, while interest from purchasers in other regions
is unchanged. Milk output continues to pick up in Oceania, and plant managers
say they are running busier acid casein production schedules. Spot purchasers
say spot loads are available in the region.

Prices for rennet casein are also unchanged this week. Declining seasonal milk
output is negatively impacting production for many dairy products in Europe,
including rennet casein. This is contributing to lighter demand for rennet
casein from other dairy processors in the region. Contacts in Europe say
interest from purchasers in other regions is steady. Manufacturers continue to
focus production schedules on meeting contractual obligations, keeping spot
inventories somewhat tight.
