Compared to last Wednesday the feeder market was spotty and mixed with an
average quality offering. Feeder steers and heifers 600 lbs and under were
mostly steady to 6.00 lower or greater in spots with a good supply and moderate
demand. Buyers were active today, but are being more selective with there
premiums as an increasing supply of bawling calves are hitting the market and
buyers are increasing the discounts accordingly. Slaughter cows and bulls are
steady with a good supply and good demand.
