Compared to last sale two weeks ago: Feeder steers and steer calves
15.00-25.00 higher. Some un-weaned steers under 500 lbs up to 20.00 lower.
Feeder heifers 10.00-15.00 higher. Heifer calves 15.00-20.00 higher. Demand
good for feeder cattle; moderate to good for calves. Cattle futures continued
the upward momentum, closing higher. A little renewed hope after some rain
showers moved in over the weekend. We continue this week with 100 degree temps
for the next few days, but some relief is in the extended forecast. Quality
average, end attractive. Several thin fleshed cattle included.
