Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers 10.00-20.00 lower. Steer
and heifer calves lightly tested. Better quality type calves sold near steady,
while plainer types were up to 20.00 lower. Demand light to moderate for
feeder cattle as cattle futures continue to trade well into the red. Demand
for calves, as well as cattle suitable for grass was moderate to good. Quality
not as attractive as last week and plain to average. Some rains moved across
the state late last week, but bulk of the moisture was in the northwest and
eastern half of the state.
