Compared to last week:  mostly yearling steers this week and heifers last week 
so no trend can be established.  Very good demand  for yearlings, several 
attractive strings selling in multiple load lots made up the offering.  All 
came off grass in light to moderate flesh with some fill seen at times.  This 
was the first test of spring calves, a light offering with loads lots seeing 
good demand and packages moderate demand.  All calves came off the cow and most 
had two rounds of shots.  A wide range of quality, especially on packages.  
Most yards are not yet ready for calves and farmer feeders who would buy 
packages are busy with harvest.  An active market on yearlings, moderate on 
calves.   Next feeder cattle sale is Thursday, October 9, with a larger
