Missouri Direct Hay Report
Released on October 30, 2025
Conditions across the state haven't changed much since the last report.
Although there has been some moisture 97 percent of the state is still
showing on the drought monitor.
For the most part rains have been light with lots of fall mist and drizzle,
hardly enough to even slow harvest for those that haven't already
wrapped up.
Been a few guys spotted cutting in anhydrous now that soil temps are dropping.
The first reports of some frost came from the Ozarks late last week,
although nothing that would be a killing frost yet.
The supply of hay is moderate and given the limited fall pastures the
ample feed supply will be needed as some are or have been feeding at
least a little for a bit now.
Hay prices are steady and demand is moderate.
