Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to 5.00 higher with the
gain on the yearling heifers. Demand was good for both calves and yearlings and
supply was moderate. Cattle futures were sharply higher Monday. Slaughter cows
sold steady to 4.00 higher.
