Compared to last week, steers sold 5.00-15.00 higher with spots 20.00 higher.
Heifers sold mostly steady when compared to last week's light test except for
some calves under 450 lbs selling with a higher undertone. Demand was good to
very good for a moderate supply that included several attractive loads of
yearlings as the break in the heat provided some nice weather to move cattle.
The record high prices don't hurt either. Slaughter cows sold steady to 3.00
higher.
