Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to 10.00 higher. Demand
was good for a moderate to heavy supply that included several loads of yearling
steers and heifers and many groups of fall born calves. Cattle futures have
taken off higher to start the week and set the stage for an expectant higher
cash fed cattle trade this week. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-4.00 higher.
