Compared to the last report, movement has been about steady.
Demand for hay in Idaho is moderate but better than it has been the last
few weeks.
There is not much carryover expected in the state due to producers moving
their supply to make room for 2025 crop.
New crop is starting to get cut all over Idaho.
Glenns Ferry area is about to start second crop while other areas are
on first crop.
East Idaho is mostly cutting and raking right now while southern Idaho
has been baling.
Most buyers are still being quiet about offering prices but producers
are saying they have had quite a few calls from buyers wanting to look
at the hay and test results when its stacked.
Some hay presses have been offering a dollar a point at the stack and
some dairy's have been offering a dollar a point delivered.
According to the U.S.
Drought Monitor Website, all of Idaho is under normal soil moisture to
moderate dry soil moisture, normal soil moisture being in West Idaho.
