Fluid Milk And Cream - East U.S.

Released on January 02, 2026

Milk volumes remain robust in the Northeast region as favorable weather
conditions contribute to strong milk volumes. Milk components are strong,
providing ample amounts of cream for the market. At the beginning of the week
spot loads of milk were abundant, as bottlers hadn't resumed normal operations,
and some facilities had planned downtime during the holidays. With educational
institutions resuming classes next week, bottlers are increasing milk intake.
Class II production is light this week. Class III production is steady, with
some larger cheese facilities taking in spot milk to fortify production. Class
IV production is strong this week. Some butter facilities are operating churns
at full capacity to build inventories for 2026. Cream multiples dropped at both
ends of the range, with very little spot volume going to Class II or III
facilities. Condensed skim is readily available and selling under Class price.
