Buttermilk powder (BMP) inventories are tight in the Central and East regions. 
Most manufacturers are not keeping large inventories on hand for spot 
purchases. There were some spot purchases, but some buyers were turned away for 
lack of availability. With butter production on the rise, BMP inventory is 
expected to increase. The price increased at the top of the range this week but 
did not change at the bottom.
