The buttermilk powder market was quiet this week. Several contacts indicated a 
decrease in BMP inventories. Butter churns are still operating at or near 
capacity. Ice cream manufacturers are purchasing more condensed buttermilk, 
leaving little available for drying. Manufacturers are producing enough for 
contract fulfillment, but spot availability is low. Some manufacturers are 
taking offers for future delivery dates. The overall price range for BMP 30 did 
not change this week. Reported sales activity was quiet but prices stayed firm.
