The buttermilk powder (BMP) spot market was quiet this week in the Central and 
East regions. A major industry conference was a limiting factor for activity. 
Contacts indicate pricing for BMP is reaching an unfavorable limit. As prices 
begin to rise, buyers are becoming weary and declining offers beyond their 
immediate needs. The price range did rise modestly this week compared to 
previous weeks. Inventories are tight and nonfat dry milk continues to take 
priority for drying.
