Compared to last week: Comparable sales were too few to determine a trend, even
with a good turn out of yearlings coming off grass. The undertone seemed mixed
however, as prices seemed to track with market volatility and demand for larger
cattle to fill empty pens. The most desired classes of cattle seem to be 700
pound steers and heifers. Average to high yielding slaughter cattle sold
1.00-9.00 lower. Trade was moderate on plain to better quality cattle.
