Compared to last week: There was a better turn out of backgrounded cattle this
week but due to a shorter run last week, there were few comparable sales.
Sentiment seemed to the lower side on most classes of steers and heifers with
the exception being heifers weighing between 500-670 pounds. They brought
8.00-10.00 higher, largely due to better quality than last weeks offering.
Slaughter cattle slid back some as well. Average to high yielding boner cows
slipped 6.00-8.00 lower. Despite the slight slip back, trade remained active on
good demand.
