SLAUGHTER CATTLE 334 277 471
Compared to last week: Turn out was good with cattle continuing to come off
wheat. There were few comparable sales, but a definite higher undertone was
noted. Demand seemed to favor 700-800 pound steers and heifers. Slaughter
cattle made a jump this week with a nice group of cull beef cows that came to
town. Average to high yielding boner cows bringing 2.00-9.00 higher. Trade was
moderate to active. Have a safe and happy Memorial Day and remember those that
paid the ultimate price to preserve this life and nation.
