Compared to the special feeder auction 2 weeks ago, 400 - 500lb steer calves
were 7.00 to 16.00 higher, 600 - 700 lbs were 5.00 to 20.00 higher with no test
on heavier weight steer cattle. Heifer trade saw lighter weights (400 - 500 lb)
8.00 to 15.00 higher and 600 - 700 lbs 2.00 to 11.00 higher. Available in
today's moderate supply were many high quality home raised LTW'd feeder calves.
Demand was very good. The next scheduled special feeder calf / yearling auction
is May 21
