Butter - Central U.S.

Released on October 01, 2025

In the Central region, milk production is increasing, and components remain up
from one year ago. Cream is plentiful in the region and contacts report
multiples as low as 0.85 this week. Demand for cream is steady to lighter, with
some butter makers saying they are not currently in the market for cream as
they are using internal volumes to keep churns active. Domestic butter demand
is steady from week-to-week, but stakeholders say sales remain light.
International demand for 82 percent butterfat butter is strong, and contacts
say inventories for these loads are tight. Meanwhile, spot loads of 80 percent
butterfat butter are available to meet current market demands.
