AMS_1089 MARS Butter - Central U.S. Released on June 04, 2025 Cream remains readily available in the Central region, but volumes were more excessive last week following Memorial Day weekend. Contacts say this is contributing to slightly higher cream multiples. Contacts anticipate cream will decline in the coming weeks as temperatures increase in June. Meanwhile, butter makers are taking advantage of current cream availability to run active production schedules. Domestic demand is meeting seasonal expectations. Contacts report export demand for butter is strong as internationally produced butter is priced at a premium to butter produced domestically. Spot loads of butter are available for purchasing. Butter markets remain bullish. Since last Wednesday, Grade AA butter prices increased 3.5 cents on the CME to $2.5600, as of reporting. Meanwhile in the June 4th National Dairy Products Sales Report, the butter price was up 4.65 cents from the prior week to $2.4052.
