Dry Whey - Central U.S.

Released on October 30, 2025

Dry whey prices are mainly unchanged across the range this week, but the mostly
price series shifted higher. Domestic dry whey demand is steady. Exports to
Mexico continue to beat some contacts' expectations. Demand from purchasers in
Asia is light, as domestic dry whey loads are priced higher than loads produced
in Europe. Dry whey manufacturers have few loads available, and some purchasers
are paying prices in the high-$0.60s to secure loads from third parties. Whey
protein concentrate 80% and whey protein isolate markets remain bullish, amid
strong demand and tight inventories. Manufacturers continue to focus their
schedules on these products, limiting dry whey production. The market for
animal feed whey is quiet, and prices are unchanged this week. Animal feed whey
production is light, but demand is limited, and inventories are tight.
