Dry Whey - Central U.S.

Released on August 07, 2025

The Central region dry whey price range expanded this week, as contacts
reported lower prices at the bottom of the range and higher prices at the top.
The mostly price series shifted lower in the Central region. Demand for dry
whey is declining in the region and contacts say export sales remain light.
Spot loads of dry whey are available for purchasing, but stakeholders say
interest in some brands of dry whey is stronger than others keeping inventories
for these brands tight. Dry whey production remains limited as drying schedules
remain focused on higher whey protein concentrates and whey protein isolate.
Animal feed whey prices were unchanged this week. Contacts report limited spot
market activity for animal feed whey amid light demand and tight inventories.
