Eastern MO. Commission CO held their annual Special Bred Cow/Heifer sale the 
Saturday after Thanksgiving (Nov 29) with a top quality offering of bred 
heifers and young bred cows mostly 3-5 yrs in the 2nd and 3rd stage all selling 
with good demand as overall quality ran deep on the bred heifers and young bred 
cows.  Despite heavy wet snow falling over the trade area from 6-10 plus inches 
a large crowd was on hand along with internet buyers as the market was very 
active.  Most of the bred heifers in the 2nd and 3rd stage all sold from 
4100.00-4750.00 with couple fancy lots of heifers selling at 5500.00-5900.00 
and one consignment of over 100 head of 2nd calf heifers in the 2nd and 3rd 
stage most selling from 4700.00-4900.00.  One large consignment of young bred 
cows 3-5 yrs mostly in the 2nd stage trading from 4300.00-4600.00.  Pairs sold 
with moderate to good demand mostly running ages from 4 yrs to short solid 
mouth with several heifer pairs in the offering.
