Compared to the last special two weeks ago, steer calves weighing 500-800 lbs
and heifer calves weighing 400-650 lbs all sold steady with the last special,
heifers over 700 lbs were lightly tested with the biggest draft being 118 hd of
heifers weighing 862 lbs at 324.00. Demand was good on a moderate supply with
the bulk of the calves being mostly new crop fall calves carrying a little more
flesh with not as much condition as last special. Slaughter steers and
heifers along with slaughter cows all traded steady with last week.
