Friday's auction was a Special Bred Cow and Pairs sale with a nice offering of
young bred cows mostly 3-5 yrs in the second stage all selling with good
demand. Also included in the sale were several consignments of nice quality
1st calf heifer pairs in the offering with 100-125 lb calves selling with good
demand from 5675.00-6100.00 per pair. Feeder cattle were lightly tested
selling in small groups and singles but traded in last week's price ranges on
similar quality and weights. Slaughter steers and heifers traded mostly steady
with slaughter cows on a large offering trading mostly 2.00-4.00 lower.
