Compared to the last auction two weeks ago, steer and heifer calves under 600
lbs on comparable sales sold mostly 10.00-15.00 higher with feeders over 600
lbs not well tested on limited offerings with the largest draft of the sale
being 190 hd of heifers weighing 973-1077 lbs selling with a firm to higher
undertone. Demand was good on a light to moderate offering with the stick out
sale of the day being 100 hd of heifers weighing 973 lbs at 304.00 and 90 hd
weighing 1077 lbs at 294.00. There were several consignments of unweaned steer
and heifer calves all selling with good demand. Slaughter steers and heifers
sold 5.00-6.00 higher and slaughter cows sold steady.
