Compared to last sale: (10/06/25) Feeder lambs 60-89 lbs sold mostly
10.00-15.00 higher, lambs 90 lbs and heavier sold steady to 5.00 higher. Demand
for feeder lambs was mostly good for moderate to heavy offerings. Slaughter
lambs sold generally steady on a lower quality offering. Ethnic buyers mostly
picked around and purchased lambs feeding buyers were not willing to buy. Most
lambs purchased for slaughter this week were buck lambs and short docked lambs.
Demand for hair lambs was good several large consignments of attractive quality
hair lambs were seen this sale. Hair lambs sold steady to 5.00 higher than last
sale on all weights. Market activity was mostly active this sale with rapid
bidding seen. Demand for slaughter ewes was mostly moderate. Slaughter ewes
sold fully steady on all classes. Goats comprised a large portion of todays
sale as over 2,000 goats were consigned. Slaughter kids sold generally steady.
Demand for yearling goats was very good with several ethnic buyers looking for
older goats for harvest. Demand for feeding goats continues to be very good.
Feeding kids sold unevenly steady. Kid quality was mostly plain to average this
week. Goat offerings were heavy.
