Compared to last sale: (12/01/25) Feeder lambs 60-89 lbs sold mostly
35.00-50.00 higher, lambs 90 lbs and heavier sold 15.00-20.00 higher. Demand
for feeder lambs was mostly good for moderate offerings. Slaughter lambs sold
mostly 5.00-10.00 higher on all lambs over 90 lbs. Ethnic buyers mostly picked
around and purchased lambs feeding buyers were not willing to buy. Most lambs
purchased for slaughter this week were buck lambs. Demand for hair lambs was
good several large consignments of attractive quality hair lambs were seen this
sale. Hair lambs sold 10.00 to 20.00 higher than last sale on all weights.
Market activity was mostly active this sale with rapid bidding seen. Demand for
Slaughter ewes was mostly moderate to good. Slaughter ewes sold fully steady on
good ewes, Utility and cull ewes sold mostly 8.00-15.00 higher. Very good
demand was seen for black face ewes this sale as ethnic buyers all competed
over limited offerings. Goats comprised a large portion of todays sale as over
1,400 goats were consigned. Slaughter kids sold 35.00-45.00 higher on all
weight classes. Demand for yearling goats was very good with several ethnic
buyers looking for older goats for harvest. Demand for feeding goats continues
to be very good. Feeding kids sold 70.00-80.00 higher with very good demand
seen from feeding buyers. Kid quality was mostly average this week. Goat
offerings were heavy.
