Compared to last Mondays sale: Feeder cattle were not reported this week. Weigh
up cows sold on good to very good demand today for heavy offerings. Slaughter
cows were too lightly tested to develop an accurate market trend, however
higher undertones were noticed with a large slaughter cow buyer pool noticed.
Most cows were purchased to feed again this week. Feeding cow demand was very
good with a large pool of buyers actively bidding on offerings. Demand for all
cows suitable to feed was very good. Quality was most average to attractive
today. Feeding cows sold generally steady. Weigh up conditions were mostly
average to below average today. Slaughter bulls sold on moderate demand for
light offerings. Packer buyers and feeding buyers showed moderate demand for
all sound bulls suitable to feed. Slaughter bulls sold generally steady in a
narrow comparison. Quality was mostly average this week. Young age cows
suitable to feed or rebreed sold generally steady. A moderate offering of bred
cows was seen this week. Demand was mostly moderate to good.
