Compared to last week, feeder steers on a light offering traded $6.00 to $12.00
higher. On a stronger offering, feeder bulls saw significant gains, trading
$15.00 to $20.00 higher. Feeder heifers sold unevenly this week, with less
buyer interest noted. Prices ranged from $14.00 lower to $14.00 higher,
depending on quality and condition. Demand was good for quality, weaned calves,
while interest remained light for plainer, unweaned calves. Slaughter cattle
traded mostly steady on a moderate test.
