Returning from a one-week layoff due to winter weather, feeder cattle offerings
were moderate. Overall condition showed improvement, though some muddy
conditions persisted as snow and ice continue to melt in pastures. Supply of
weaned calves was limited; however, demand for feeder cattle remained strong.
The highlight of the sale was an 865-lb F1 crossbred heifer that brought
$460.00 per cwt. With no sale reported last week, no price trends were
established.
