Big Storm Moving Through Canadian Prairies Thursday

A Pacific Northwest system will bring severe storms and strong winds to the Plains Thursday.

It is relatively quiet across the middle of the U.S. Wednesday afternoon with showers moving through the Northeast. Another system is moving through the Pacific Northwest with scattered showers now starting to develop in the Canadian Prairies and Northern Plains. That system will continue through the Canadian Prairies for Thursday. Strong winds, severe thunderstorms, and widespread showers are forecast both north and south of the border. In addition, the system’s cold front will move down into the Central Plains and may produce some areas of severe weather there as well.
