Eyes on Major Storm in Northern Plains, Canadian Prairies for Wednesday

Some showers are found across eastern Texas and are building in the Great Lakes on Tuesday afternoon. Showers will continue a little farther east and south, respectively, for Wednesday. But the bigger picture will be a storm system moving deeper into the West. Showers may not look impressive this afternoon, but the system will move into the Northern Plains and Canadian Prairies for Wednesday and especially Thursday. Widespread showers turning to snow and strong winds are the main impacts in these regions, with spottier showers down the High Plains and strong winds that could increase the wildfire threat.
