Showers Continue from Central Plains to Southeast Friday

Three active weather systems bring widespread showers and storms from the Plains to Southeast through Friday.

An old front continues to produce scattered showers and thunderstorms across the Southeast as it heats up on Thursday afternoon. At the same time, a band of showers is moving north through the Central Plains, producing some areas of moderate to heavy rainfall and a system is spinning in the Great Basin with showers there as well. All three areas will remain active for Friday with showers sort of lining up from southern South Dakota down through Georgia and Florida while more isolated to scattered showers move through the Pacific Northwest into the Northern Plains and western Canadian Prairies.
